James McMurtry is an American rock and folk rock/americana singer, songwriter, guitarist, bandleader, and occasional actor. He performs with veteran bandmates Daren Hess, Cornbread and Tim Holt. His father, novelist Larry McMurtry, gave him his first guitar at age seven. His mother, an English professor, taught him how to play it: "My mother taught me three chords and the rest I just stole as I went along. I learned everything by ear or by watching people."

In the wake of 2024’s Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution, Ellis Bullard has left no doubt that country music is still yearning for the true-blue honky-tonk experience he brings to the stage and studio. His 2024 itinerary included headlining shows in dance halls and clubs from coast to coast and top billing at the historic Festival Country De Crappone in France.

Ellis kicked off 2025 at the Mile 0 Festival in Key West this past anuary.  “I’m just a person, just a guy out there having a good time and trying to make sure other people are too,” Bullard says. “I give my time to people, and I think that means a lot to them. I’m genuinely trying to forge relationships and have meaningful interactions with all the fans I meet on the road.” After sharing the stage with Texas mainstays like Cody Jinks, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jason Boland, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers, and Whiskey Myers, Bullard has become his own. For his part, Bullard knows he’s on to something, and he’s enjoying the ride.

Jesse Dayton stands as one of the most dynamic figures in modern American music, seamlessly blending Texas blues, outlaw country, and punk rock into a sound uniquely his own. Hailing from Beaumont, Texas, Dayton’s storied career spans decades and includes collaborations with legends like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson, as well as modern icons such as Samantha Fish and Duff McKagan. From his days fronting the Road Kings to composing for Rob Zombie’s cult films, Dayton has built a legacy of fearless artistry and relentless energy.

His latest album, The Hard Way Blues, produced by Grammy-winner Shooter Jennings, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart, earning acclaim for its raw storytelling and electrified guitar work. Dayton also earned a Grammy nomination for his collaboration with Samantha Fish on Death Wish Blues, further cementing his place in the roots music world.

Now, Dayton embarks on a new chapter with the Texas Headhunters, a dynamic new band featuring Ian Moore, Johnny Moeller, and a stellar lineup of supporting musicians.
